IAS Devi Sharan Upadhyay: The Uttar Pradesh government has suspended IAS officer Devisharan Upadhyay. On Saturday itself, the government removed him from the post of Member Judicial Revenue Council, Prayagraj. IAS officer Devisharan Upadhyay is accused of arbitrarily reinstating a person in the land lease case in Aligarh. Now, after suspending him, the government has attached him with the Revenue Council. Action has been taken against IAS officer Devisharan Upadhyay under the Chief Minister’s zero tolerance policy against corruption for giving wrong orders in the land lease case in Aligarh.

Aligarh Divisional Commissioner had complained against IAS officer Devisharan Upadhyay. The Appointment Department removed him from the post on July 13 itself and put him on waiting list. Seeing the seriousness of the matter, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has suspended him. A high-level committee has been formed to investigate this matter. Let us tell you, Devisharan Upadhyay is a 2012 batch IAS officer. He was posted as Member Judicial Revenue Council Prayagraj in July 2022. He is accused of arbitrarily restoring the leases of 35 plots in Aligarh. The Aligarh district administration had recommended to cancel these leases as they were given against the rules. This matter went to the Revenue Council. After the recommendation of the district administration, he had passed an order to restore these leases.
