On the occasion of Shri Krishna Janmashtami, along with temples in Uttar Pradesh, there will be celebrations and decorations in police stations, jails and police lines across the state. Tableaus of Shri Krishna’s birth will be decorated, while Krishna Janmotsav will be celebrated with traditional worship. While giving these instructions before the Janmashtami festival, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also gave instructions regarding security and arrangements during the procession. Special security and vigilance will be taken at Krishna’s birthplace Mathura.
Events will be held in all jails and police stations of UP
There will be traditional events on Krishna Janmashtami in all the jails and police stations of UP. CM Yogi directed that the festival of Shri Krishna Janmashtami should be celebrated in a grand and traditional manner in the police stations and jails of all the districts. Along with this, events should also be organized in all the reserve police lines. There has been a tradition of celebrating Shri Krishna Janmotsav in all the police stations. The belief behind this is the birth of Krishna in the jail. On this occasion, not only grand tableaux are decorated, but songs, music and other cultural programs are also organized, in which policemen and their family members participate.

The procession will be videographed and monitored using drones
In many districts of UP, traditional processions are taken out on the night of Krishna Janmashtami. A large number of people participate in them. For security reasons, videography will be done during the procession. At the same time, CCTV and drone cameras will also be used for surveillance. Instructions have also been given to make traffic management, security and cleanliness arrangements at Krishna Leela sites and the route of the procession. Apart from this, instructions have also been given to arrange for adequate police force at crowded places. Instructions have also been given to avoid any kind of dispute during the procession. Instructions have been given to follow the rules for the use of loudspeakers during the procession. Along with this, instructions have also been given to take special precautions when the procession passes close to the religious places of other sects during the puja.
Special vigilance will be observed in Mathura
Meanwhile, devotees from across the country and abroad continue to arrive in Mathura to celebrate Shri Krishna Janmotsav. The Chief Minister has given instructions for special vigilance. In view of the sensitivity of the Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi-Shahi Idgah Mosque site located in the city, instructions have been given from the Chief Minister’s level to exercise special vigilance and make proper police arrangements. Apart from monitoring through CCTV cameras, there will also be surveillance through drones. Police patrolling will be done continuously till the event ends.
Wherever there have been disputes in the past on Janmashtami or other religious events in the state, special vigilance will be exercised there. In a review meeting regarding the preparations, Chief Minister Adityanath said that wherever any kind of dispute has come up regarding the Sri Krishna Janmashtami festival in the past years or this year so far, action should be ensured from now on by the gazetted officers of the police and revenue department.
The police department also has a tradition of celebrating this festival with decency and joy. After the instructions of the Chief Minister, it has also been asked to ensure that this event is conducted with decency. The concerned Police Commissioner, District Incharge and Commander should inspect the programs to be organized in this regard in advance and ensure at every level that no indecent or obscene program takes place.
