Class 12 student shot dead in Faridabad on suspicion of cow smuggling, 5 accused arrested

In Faridabad, Haryana, a 12th class student was murdered after being mistaken for a cow smuggler. Solving the mystery of the case, the police have arrested 5 accused. All the accused are said to be cow protectors, who killed the student Aryan Mishra after mistaking him to be a cow smuggler. The police have also recovered the weapon used in the murder.

According to the information, Aryan Mishra was a student of class 12. He had gone out with his friends Harshit and Shanky in a Duster car to eat Maggi at 12 o’clock on the night of 23 August. According to the police, the accused told during interrogation that on the late night of 23 August, they had received information from their informer that some cow smugglers were doing recce in the city in Duster and Fortuner cars and were calling their companions and taking away cows in tankers.

During this time, they saw a Duster car at Patel Chowk in Faridabad, then the accused in the Swift car signaled the Duster car to stop. Harshit was driving the Duster car and Aryan Mishra was sitting next to him. According to the police, Harshit and Shanky had a fight with some youths a few days ago, in which a case was also registered against Shanky.

The accused chased him for about 25 kms

When the alleged cow protectors signaled to stop the car, the youth in the Duster thought that the youth with whom they had a rivalry had surrounded them and to save themselves, they started running in the Duster. On the other hand, the alleged cow protectors in the Swift car thought that there was indeed a cow smuggler in the Duster car. Then they also started chasing them. Harshit drove for about 25 kilometers and broke the barrier of Palwal toll post.

Then the suspicion of the alleged cow protectors increased even more. Then they opened fire on the Duster car, in which the bullet passed through the rear glass of the Duster and hit Aryan Mishra sitting on the front seat next to the driver’s seat. After Aryan was shot, Harshit stopped the car on the side. Then the accused went ahead and shot Aryan again in the chest, due to which he died.

Police said this in the case

Faridabad Police PRO Yashpal Singh said that the names of the arrested accused are Anil Kaushik, Varun, Krishna, Adesh and Saurav. At first, to confuse the police, the accused told them that they had thrown the weapon used in the murder in the Bawana canal, but the police recovered the weapon from accused Anil’s house. Further action is being taken in the case.
