Apple may soon start manufacturing its Pro models in India. The company already manufactures standard models of iPhone in India. After the increasing tension between America and China, the company started shifting the assembly of its phones out of China to other countries.
However, till now the company was manufacturing its Pro models in China only. This will be the first time when the company will manufacture iPhone Pro and Pro Max in India. Bloomberg has given this information in its report.
Manufacturing will start after launch
Apple’s major partner Foxconn Technology Group will manufacture this smartphone in India. If the report is to be believed, the company will start manufacturing Pro models in India within a few days of the launch of the iPhone 16 series. For this, the company has started training thousands of employees in its factory located in Tamil Nadu.
Apple’s move to manufacture the iPhone Pro and Pro Max models in India is a big step. Apple still manufactures a large number of iPhones in China, but the company is gradually shifting it to other countries, which has benefited India.
The number of Made in India iPhones is increasing across the world
The effect of this move of Apple was that the company assembled iPhones worth $14 billion in India in the financial year till March 2024, which is 14 percent of its global production. People associated with the matter said that just like last year the company made the Made in India iPhone 15 available from day one. This time the company will also sell the iPhone 16 in the same way, which will be made in India.
The company’s other partners in India can also start manufacturing the Pro models soon. Higher variants have bigger batteries, better cameras and titanium bodies. A specialized production line is required to assemble them. Till now the company was manufacturing the Pro models only in China.
Let us tell you that the company is going to launch the iPhone 16 series soon. In some reports, this launch date has been told as 10 September. However, the company has not officially given this information. The company may change the design of iPhones this year.
