Children studying Sanskrit in UP benefitted, Yogi government took this step after 24 years

There is good news for students of Sanskrit schools and colleges in UP. The government has decided that the amount of scholarship given to the students of these schools will be increased. After 24 years, the government has taken this step in the interest of the students. This scholarship will also be given to students of 6th and 8th class, students from any class and income will be able to avail this scholarship.

This much amount will be given to the students of these classes

This proposal of scholarship of the Secondary Education Department has also been approved, in which it has been decided to give Rs 50 per month for class 6th, 7th and Rs 75 per month for class 8th. Along with this, it has been decided to give Rs 100 per month for pre-secondary class i.e. class 9th and 10th. Rs 150 per month will be given for class 11th and 12th. Apart from this, the Council of Ministers has approved the rate of Rs 200 for Shastri and Rs 250 per month for Acharya. The income limit has not been fixed for this scholarship, students of any income can avail it.

Scholarship changed after 24 years

According to the information, the proposal to revise and increase the current scholarship rates applicable since 2001 for students studying in Sanskrit schools and colleges has been accepted in the cabinet. It has been decided to make changes in this scholarship implemented in the year 2001 after 24 years i.e. in the year 2024.

Earlier this scholarship was not given to students of 6th, 7th and 8th class taking Sanskrit education. Now this arrangement has been made for students of class 6th and 7th, 8th also. Apart from this, earlier only those with an annual income of Rs 50 thousand were eligible for scholarship to encourage Sanskrit education, but now this condition has also been removed. Now students of any class and income can participate in it. Students of 517 Sanskrit schools of Uttar Pradesh will be able to take advantage of this scholarship.
