Chandrashekhar Ravan has indicated that his party has started making strategy for the by-elections. He clearly said that he will contest by-elections on all 10 seats. For this, talks have been held with the party officials and the names of the candidates are being considered. According to party sources, SP and Congress will field joint candidates on 10 seats in the UP by-elections. In this regard, Congress has also called a meeting of district presidents on July 21. It is believed that SP can contest by-elections on 7 seats and Congress on 3 seats.

The by-elections to be held in Uttar Pradesh are also being considered as a litmus test for the Bharatiya Janata Party and UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. In fact, the SP-Congress alliance had caused a huge upset in the Lok Sabha elections. In such a situation, the alliance of the two can cause a big loss to the BJP in the assembly elections as well.
