JDU also asked for a special package

After meeting Sitharaman on Monday, Sanjay Kumar Jha wrote on Twitter, “We had a meaningful discussion on many important issues related to Bihar’s development and public interest. Heartfelt thanks for your positive response. JDU has recently passed a political resolution demanding special status or special package for Bihar.”

What does Naidu want?

At the same time, Chandrababu Naidu is demanding special assistance for the backward areas of the state, several projects for the development of the state’s new capital Amaravati and a special package from the Center for the Polavaram dam project. Naidu had also submitted a detailed memorandum of his demands to Finance Minister Sitharaman during his last visit to Delhi. TDP and JDU are important constituents of the NDA and it is with their help that the NDA has been able to cross the majority mark. TDP has 15 MPs in the Lok Sabha, while JDU has 12 MPs.
