‘Chai pe Charcha’ in Parliament House, Rahul Gandhi met PM Modi, asked Defence Minister about the situation in Ukraine

The proceedings of the Lok Sabha have been adjourned indefinitely. Before the proceedings were adjourned, Speaker Om Birla gave an account of the work done during the monsoon session in the House. He also mentioned the bills passed by the House as well as the discussion on the private resolution. The Speaker said that the productivity during this session was 136 percent.

After the session was adjourned, PM Modi and Rahul Gandhi greeted each other and exchanged warm greetings and namaste during an informal tea meeting. Rahul Gandhi asked Rajnath Singh about the situation in Ukraine, to which the Defence Minister said that India is keeping a close watch on it.

Anurag Thakur accused Rahul Gandhi

During the Zero Hour of Lok Sabha, BJP MP Anurag Thakur accused the Leader of Opposition and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi of not saying anything about ensuring the safety of minorities in Bangladesh. He said, ‘When the interim government of Bangladesh took charge, Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated them, but at the same time he asked them to ensure the safety of minorities.’

Thakur said, ‘It is unfortunate that the opposition leader congratulated the interim government (of Bangladesh), but did not mention the safety of Hindus and minorities. What was the compulsion? You talked about Gaza, but not about minorities in Bangladesh.’

Several bills were introduced in the Lok Sabha

Friday was the 15th day of the monsoon session of Parliament. On the 15th day, a bill to amend the laws related to banking was introduced in the Lok Sabha. The Railway (Amendment) Bill 2024, The Carriage of Goods by Sea Bill 2024 and The Bills of Lading Bill 2024 were also introduced in the Lok Sabha on Friday.
