‘Caste census is a sensitive issue, it should not be used for electoral purposes’, big statement of Sangh

The RSS has made an important statement on sensitive issues like caste census and women’s safety. The organization has expressed its concerns about the caste census to maintain the unity and integrity of the society, while talking about taking new steps for women’s safety. These topics were discussed in depth in the recent meeting of the RSS, in which various issues of the society were discussed and many important decisions were taken for the future.

The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has made a big statement regarding the caste census. Describing it as a sensitive issue, the RSS said that the caste census can threaten the unity and integrity of the society. This has been discussed under Panch Parivartan, and the organization has decided that work will be done to promote harmony at the mass level.

Caste reactions are a sensitive issue in our society and it is important for national integration, but caste census should not be used for election campaign and electoral purposes. But for welfare purposes and especially to know the number of Dalit community, the government can count their number.

The recent unfortunate incident in West Bengal was also discussed in detail in the meeting. RSS stressed the need to amend women’s laws for the safety of women and called it a worrying issue. Five fronts were discussed regarding women’s safety which include legal, awareness, sanskar, education and self-defense. It has been decided to run a women safety campaign on these fronts.

Apart from this, RSS said that last year they organised 472 women conferences in every state and district in which women issues, western feminism and Indian thought were discussed.

In the RSS meeting, serious discussions were held on the incidents that happened in Bengal, Wayanad and Tamil Nadu. Concerns were also raised about the issue of Hindus and minorities in Bangladesh and the government was urged to take action on this.

Finally, the RSS decided to celebrate the 300th birth anniversary of Ahilyabai and planned to work for social transformation under Panch Parivartan to mark the completion of 100 years of the organisation.
