Cadets Review: Cadets is a new twist to the old story, you will get confused after watching the series

Jio Cinema’s series Cadets was awaited for a long time. The series is the story of youth joining the Armed Forces Academy. Cadets has been streamed on Jio Cinema on 30 August. Read its review before watching the series.

What is the story?

In the entertainment industry, every other month, films and series based on the Indian Army are released. Now the name of Cadets has also been included in this list. The story of Cadets takes you to the era of 1998. This was the same year when some young men come to Pune’s fictional Armed Forces Academy with full enthusiasm to take army training.

The story of the series revolves around four different characters – Manoj Mitra (Tanay Chheda), Albert Mark (Tushar Shahi), Neeraj Tomar (Gautam Gujjar) and Randhir Dhanua (Chayan Chopra). All four of them have dreamed of doing something for the country since childhood. After joining the Arms Academy, all four of them have to go through many tasks and difficulties. During this time, there is love as well as fights between them. To know the further story, you will have to watch the series.

How is the acting?

The series is based on the story of young boys joining the army. None of these four look fit as soldiers in the series. Seeing them on screen, it seems as if children of 11th or 12th class have joined the army. All of them are good actors, who have acting skills, but I don’t know why all four of them do not fit the characters of cadets. However, all four of them have done their work in the series with complete honesty.

Where did it go wrong?

When you watch the trailer of a film, it looks impressive. But when the film is released, its story confuses the mind. The story of Cadets is also something like this. So far, so many excellent series have been made on the Armed Forces that after watching Cadets, the only question that comes to mind is why it was made. Be it the story of the series or the cinematography, everything seems weak. Romance is also seen in the series based on the Armed Academy, which does not seem to be needed. There is not a single episode in the series that connects you to the story line. The beginning of the first episode itself is so boring that one does not have the courage to take it forward.

The series directed by Vishwajoy Mukherjee is based on the training and punishment given in the armed forces. The series has 8 episodes. One episode is of 25 to 30 minutes. If you watch this series with expectations, you will be disappointed. It is your choice whether to watch it or not on the weekend.
