In Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, the brother-in-law killed his brother-in-law over in-laws’ property and borrowed money. On receiving the information, the police took the body into custody and sent it for post-mortem and registered an FIR in the case. Now the police has disclosed the case and arrested the brother-in-law. The pistol has also been recovered on his information.
Actually, the case is from Pallavpuram police station area of Meerut. Here, the body of an unknown youth was found on the village Dulhera Bamba track at around 7 am on 21 August. There was a bullet mark on the back of the body. The youth was identified as 35-year-old Vivek. Vivek used to do modeling. After finding Vivek’s body, the family suspected his girlfriend and her friend of murder.

During the investigation, the police suspected deceased Vivek’s brother-in-law Tanuj Kumar. After this, the police took brother-in-law Tanuj into custody and questioned him. During police interrogation, the accused brother-in-law told that Vivek was the only son of his parents. His mother had about 60 bighas of land in her name. Out of which Vivek had sold about 40 bighas of land for Rs 3.5 crore.
The accused had taken Rs 15 lakh from his brother-in-law
He had borrowed Rs 15 lakh from his brother-in-law Vivek, which Vivek was demanding again and again. Apart from this, only 18 bighas of land was left in Vivek’s mother’s name, which Vivek wanted to sell to someone else. Tanuj came to know about this. Tanuj Kumar had an objection to selling that land and he did not want to return the borrowed money. For this reason, Tanuj Kumar planned to murder Vivek.
According to the plan, on August 20, Tanuj Kumar left for duty in his car in the morning. After this, while returning in the evening, Tanuj called his brother-in-law on the highway. Vivek left the house and met his brother-in-law on the highway. Here Tanuj and Vivek drank alcohol in the car. In a drunken state, both of them headed towards Siwaya toll plaza. Then both of them had an argument over money.

Meanwhile, he got down from the car on the pretext of urinating. Then he asked Vivek to come down and urinate. As soon as Vivek stood on the roadside, brother-in-law Tanuj shot Vivek from behind. Then Tanuj called his wife Preeti and talked normally. After this Tanuj went home. After reaching home, he started asking his mother-in-law and wife about Vivek as usual.
According to the police, after finding Vivek’s body, the family suspected Vivek’s friend and girlfriend, but the police suspected his brother-in-law and during investigation reached the accused brother-in-law on the basis of mobile and CCTV. On his information, the accused brother-in-law was arrested and the pistol was also recovered. On the information given by the brother-in-law, the police recovered 1 pistol and 1 live cartridge from a sugarcane field about 400 meters away from the incident site.
