Brother hatched a conspiracy to grab 1 crore 12 lakhs… paid 2 lakhs to a shooter to murder him

A sensational case of murder has come to light from Ramgarh district of Jharkhand. A person got his cousin killed by a shooter by paying a contract of Rs. 2 lakhs. Police reached the spot after getting the information, took the body in their custody and sent it for postmortem. An FIR was also registered in the case. 5 people involved in the murder were arrested within 24 hours. Police say that further action is being taken in the case.

The incident happened on the night of 23 August at around 8 pm. Sanjeev Bedia, a resident of Tilaiya village, was brutally murdered by firing three bullets. Actually, a year ago, Sanjeev Bedia’s family had received Rs 3 crore 12 lakh as compensation for land acquisition for the Bharatmala project. This compensation amount was received by Sanjeev Bedia’s cousin Dharmendra Bedia and he told Sanjeev Bedia that he had received only Rs 2 crore.

Conspiracy to grab Rs 1 crore 12 lakh

When Sanjeev Bedia came to know that the compensation amount was Rs 3 crore 12 lakh, Sanjeev Bedia started pressuring Dharmendra for his share of the money. Then Dharmendra hatched a conspiracy to grab Rs 1 crore 12 lakh. After this, Dharmendra hired a shooter for Rs 2 lakh and also gave him Rs 25 thousand in advance. Then he carried out this murder.

SP said this in the matter

Ramgarh SP Ajay Kumar said that on 23 August at 7:30 pm, a person named Sanjeev Bedia was shot dead with three bullets. An SIT was immediately formed in this case and the police solved it within 24 hours. Five people are involved in this murder, including Dharmendra Bedia, Subhash Bedia, Karan Oraon, Umesh Kumar Thakur and Aman Kumar Thakur. Dharmendra Bedia is the cousin of the deceased Sanjeev Bedia.

Investigation has revealed that a year ago, the deceased’s family had received compensation for land acquisition for the Bharatmala project, which included Rs 3.12 crore. Dharmendra told Sanjay that only Rs 2 crore had been received. He wanted to grab Rs 1.12 crore. When the deceased came to know that Rs 3.12 crore had been received, he started demanding money from him. This is why the murder was committed.
