Former President of Wrestling Association of India Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh has been instructed not to make any statement on Vinesh Phogat and Bajrang Punia. According to information received from sources, the BJP high command has taken this decision.
It is said that Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh has been given such instructions in view of the elections in Haryana. Because Brij Bhushan’s direct statement on Vinesh Phogat and Bajrang Punia can backfire. Therefore, no such thing should be said which may affect the vote bank of BJP in Haryana.
Ever since Indian wrestlers Vinesh Phogat and Bajrang Punia joined the Congress party, BJP leader Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh has been continuously making sharp statements against them. Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh had even said that Vinesh Phogat did not deserve to go to the Olympics. There has been a political uproar ever since Vinesh and Bajrang announced to try their luck in the elections.
