‘Bridgerton’ Star Golda Rushwell’s Olympics Past—’I Loved It’

During the appearance on Original with Kush Jumbo podcast, the British actress talked about training for a decathlon event in her teenage years Olympics.

Rochewell played multiple sports when she was young. In middle school, she was captain Hockeynetball, athletics, And swimming Teams and county level won medals for all these disciplines.

She also explained that her love of sports has more to do with the focus aspect of competition rather than winning.

“It was something that I could jump and just fly and not even think about the actual fall to the ground. It’s a state of meditation when you focus on something until the end.

Thanks to her impressive track record at county level, Rushwell says she started training for the Olympics as a teenager.

“I was starting to train. which was being discussed. I was like 14, 15. Maybe smaller. But like, when it was being discussed, you know, you start it at a young age.

Sadly, however, that was not what Rochewell said Jumbo She had to take time off due to an ankle injury.

“I have an ankle injury and I have to take some time off. And remember that with all of this, I’m in drama group and I’m playing Bugsy Malone Bugsy Malone. So I have an injury and I have to take time off. So then I’m acting, singing and doing, you know, music, all that kind of stuff. And it takes off, for some reason it just takes off.”

Asked about the moment she realized her sporting ambitions would not be realized, Rochewell said Jumbo It was “okay” as she focused on her play.

“By then another thing [drama] I took over what I was passionate about [from the sports] And I was in it.”

“I remember going to those career days. We all – me, my mom and my dad – shook and there was a room and everyone was sitting behind a desk and my mom said ‘So, what do you want to do?’ And I remember I was looking and there was a guy sitting by himself and there was a sign that said ‘Drama’ and I said ‘Yeah, I want to do that.’ And that was it. Then I entered drama school.

Asked about “Sliding Doors Moments” by JumboRocheval recalls the 2012 London Olympics, which came at a time when she was out of work.

“I was off work, sitting on my couch watching the Olympics go, ‘Oh gosh, that could have been me,’ and really went into a bit of a depression about it and really had to check myself and go, ‘We’re OK,’ you’re OK. That’s it. Well, you’re doing what you love.’

“But there was a moment when I was like ‘that could be me and why am I not doing it and I should be doing it’.”

Her Olympic dreams may not have come to fruition, but Rochewell says she has incorporated the focus she learned in her sporting career into her performance.

“It’s a real wonderful focus that I carry into my performance today. Doing all the sports stuff is the same discipline and focus that I tap into when I’m learning a role or on set or on stage.”
