The Consumer Forum Court of Dharashiv district has imposed a fine of Rs 15000 on the boutique on the complaint of a woman. Along with this, the boutique has also been directed to give a blouse to the woman for free. Actually, the matter is about not being able to complete the order on time given to the customer.
District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (DCRC) chairman Kishore Vande and member Vaishali Borde gave this decision on July 15. According to the information received from the news agency, this case is a year old. A woman named Swati Kasturi had ordered Martin Boutique in Dharashiv to prepare two blouses. The woman had placed this order on January 13, 2023. The boutique had told its total cost to be Rs 6300. Swati had also paid Rs 3000 on this.
After this, as per the time given by the boutique, only one blouse was made and given to Swati on 25 January 2023. Whereas the talk was to give both the blouses. After this, the boutique owner promised to give the second blouse on February 1. Even after this, the second blouse was not made and given till that time. After this, the female customer asked the boutique several times through phone and social media to make her blouse, but the boutique owner Neha Sant refused to give the second blouse. Also, no satisfactory reason could be given for not giving the blouse.

After this, Swati sent a notice to the boutique through her lawyer on 28 April 2023. The boutique owner did not accept this either. After this, Swati Kasturi filed a complaint against the boutique in the consumer forum. Looking at the matter, the consumer forum has asked the boutique operator Neha Sant to pay Rs 15,000 to the complainant as compensation for mental and physical harassment and expenses in legal action. Also, she has been asked to sew another blouse for free within 15 days.
