There are signs of a major change in UP BJP. According to the information, the district presidents of those 50 districts of the state, where the party has faced defeat, can be changed. As soon as the BJP membership campaign ends, the process of organizational elections will begin in the party.
Apart from this, the district presidents and metropolitan presidents who have completed two terms and against whom complaints are being received will also be changed. Changes are to be made in the party from the divisional to the state level. From an organizational point of view, BJP has divided the state into 98 districts. BJP is currently in the mood of a membership campaign and after that the focus is on major changes in the organization.
These days the party has started the first phase of the membership campaign. In this, ordinary members are to be made from 2 to 25 September. The second phase will run from 1 to 15 October. During this time a campaign will be run to make active members. As soon as the second phase of the membership campaign ends in October, the process of organizational elections will begin in the party. Along with this, the process of change will also begin in the BJP.
In the Lok Sabha elections, BJP had won 33 seats in UP. The result of the reduced number of seats in UP was that BJP could not get a majority at the centre on its own. Everyone from the state to the central leadership of the party is worried about this. Now there are preparations to crack down on those who have created problems through organisational elections.
According to the information, not only the district president, all the people who create disturbances are on the target and strict action will be taken against those who remain inactive or create disturbances. In the recent meeting convened regarding the membership of state officials and district in-charges, State General Secretary Organization Dharmpal Singh had also indicated this.
