‘BJP leaders are school trustees, police are protecting them’, opposition alleges in Badlapur sexual abuse case

Opposition parties have now started raising questions on the Mahayuti alliance in the case of sexual abuse of school girls in Badlapur, Maharashtra. Opposition parties are alleging that the school in Badlapur where this incident took place is run by a trustee associated with the BJP. Former Chief Minister of Maharashtra and Shiv Sena UBT President Uddhav Thackeray also alleged that the school’s trustee is associated with the BJP. He said that the accused should get the harshest punishment, no matter which party they belong to.

Congress also raised questions

Congress leader Vijay Wadettiwar, who is the leader of opposition in the Maharashtra assembly, also raised questions on this incident and said that Ujjwal Nikam has been appointed as the special public prosecutor for this incident. He himself is associated with BJP and has also contested the Lok Sabha elections. Wadettiwar objected to this appointment and asked that if the case is suppressed then who will take responsibility for it?

Meanwhile, another leader Ajay Munde claimed that the school is associated with RSS and the school committee secretary Tushar Apte is a BJP official. A viral banner with a picture of Tushar Apte states that he is the president of Jan Kalyan Samiti (Public Welfare) of Ambarnath district. Another viral post alleges that the police are protecting Tushar Apte.

Tushar Apte is associated with BJP

Aaj Tak fact-checked the school’s website and found the list of trustees’ names. The list lists Udhay Kotwal as the president and Tushar Apte as the secretary. Tushar Apte’s Facebook page and the banners posted by him were checked and it was seen that he is the president of the BJP’s Jan Kalyan Samiti in Ambarnath district. One banner shows Tushar Apte’s brother Chetan Apte as the vice-president of Badlapur Nagar.

BJP retaliated

BJP leader Chitra Wagh visited Badalpur police station on Wednesday. During this, she said that it is being alleged that this school belongs to BJP members. But the fact is that there are members of all parties in the school trust. The school has been operating since 1965. The members of the trust change every five years.

Know what is the whole matter

Actually, on August 13, two kindergarten school girls were sexually abused in the school toilet. This incident came to light when on August 16, one of the girls told her parents about the incident. It is alleged that when the parents complained to the school and the police, they did not take it seriously. After this, the local people vandalized the Badalpur station.
