Bihar: When students did not get rasgullas on Independence Day, they chased and beat up teachers

In Bihar’s Buxar, students of a government school got so angry when they were not given sweets on the occasion of Independence Day that they chased and beat up the teachers. This incident took place in a high school in Murar police station area.

Actually, after the flag was hoisted on the occasion of Independence Day in the high school, Rasgulla was also being distributed among the students. The school management was distributing sweets to the students inside the campus, after which the students standing outside the campus demanded Rasgulla.

Teachers were beaten up for rasgullas

After this, the students got angry due to some things said by the teachers and the dispute increased to such an extent that the matter reached to fighting. The angry students beat up some teachers of the school.

While giving information about this incident, Murar police station in-charge Kamal Narayan Pandey said that during the flag hoisting ceremony in the school campus, a fight broke out over sweets. He received information that a large number of people had gathered in the school and a clash was taking place over sweets.

Police called the teachers and headmaster to the police station

In such a situation, when the headmaster of the high school Manoj Kumar was talked to, he told that the students outside had demanded sweets, but sweets were not given. In such a situation, there was a clash between the students. When some teachers of the school were going home, the students standing outside also misbehaved with them. He told that the teachers and the headmaster of the school have been called to the police station on the whole issue and after getting information about the whole matter, the police will take further action.

Regarding this incident, the local people said that sweets were being distributed inside the school but the students standing outside were not being given sweets whereas it has been an old tradition that sweets are distributed inside and outside the school. In such a situation, the sweets were asked for by the students standing outside. After the misbehavior of the teachers, the students got angry and beat up the teachers for sweets.
