Bihar: Neighbors got angry because of spilling water on the road, beat the man to death

In Muzaffarpur, a small child had spilled water on the road. In a dispute over this, a person was beaten to death. This incident took place in Karbala village of Baruraj police station area of ​​the district. After receiving information about the murder of a 52-year-old man, the police reached the spot and after registering an FIR, are conducting further investigation.

According to the family of the deceased, a young child of 52-year-old Lal Bahadur Mahato, a resident of Mehndi Nagar Karbala Chowk, had spilled water on the road. His neighbours expressed their displeasure over this and gradually the dispute escalated.

The deceased’s daughter Rani Kumari said that my younger son had spilled water on the road. Papa and I were standing. Then the neighbour Randhir Mahato, Harinder Mahato came with the whole family and started fighting with Papa over spilling water. They also dragged me by my hair and beat me. After this, Papa was beaten to death by hitting him with bricks and sticks. These people had already threatened to kill us.

After this, people informed the Baruraj police station in-charge about the incident. On receiving the information about the case, Baruraj police station in-charge Sanjeev Kumar Dubey reached the spot with the force. After investigating the case, he took the body in his custody and sent it to SKMCH for post-mortem.

Regarding the whole matter, Baruraj police station in-charge Sanjeev Kumar Dubey said that a person has died in a fight over the dispute of letting drain water spill on the road. The wife of the deceased Lal Babu Mahato has lodged an FIR against 8 people. A woman has been arrested and is being questioned. The police is investigating all the points and is engaged in further action.
