Dilip Jaiswal, the new state president of Bharatiya Janata Party in Bihar, has got VIP security from the Home Ministry. The central government has provided Y+ security to the BJP leader. Recently, there was a big change in the organization of Bihar BJP. The party has appointed Dilip Jaiswal (60) as the new state president. Earlier, Deputy CM Samrat Chaudhary was handling the command of the state. Dilip Jaiswal is originally from Khagaria district. He is considered to have a good hold in the Seemanchal region. He is a three-time MLC from Purnia, Araria and Kishanganj region. Jaiswal has also been the treasurer of BJP for 20 years.
Earlier, Samrat Chaudhary was the state president for 16 months. Lok Sabha elections were fought under his leadership and there was a change in power in the state in January 2024. Chaudhary has been made Deputy CM in the Nitish government. Before Samrat, Sanjay Jaiswal was the state president of BJP.
36% of the population in Bihar is extremely backward class
Dilip Jaiswal belongs to the Kalwar caste. It is believed that before the Bihar assembly elections, the BJP has already started making strategies to woo the largest section of the state. This is the reason why after 16 months, the BJP has once again bet on Dilip, who is considered a big face of the extremely backward class. Along with this, the party has also taken care of its core voters. Bihar has the highest population of 36 percent belonging to the extremely backward class. The backward class in the state is 27.12 percent. The Scheduled Caste category is 19.65 percent. The general category has a population of 15.52 percent.

Dilip is considered close to Home Minister Shah
Dilip Jaiswal is also very close to the central leadership. He is also considered close to Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Jaiswal is the Revenue Minister in the state’s NDA government. He became an MLC for the first time in 2009. After that, he has been elected a member of the Legislative Council for the third time so far.
Dilip has the charge of Sikkim
Dilip Jaiswal currently holds the Revenue and Land Reforms Ministry. He is also the state in-charge of Sikkim. However, now after the new responsibility, the party can withdraw the additional charge. Since, for better coordination between the power and the organization, the party implements the formula of one person one post.
Jaiswal has obtained MSC, MBA, PhD and Master of Philosophy degrees. He has also been seen active in social and political activities. Before Dilip, Sanjay Jaiswal has also been the state president of BJP. After that Samrat Chaudhary was also made the state president of BJP.

After being made the state president, Dilip Jaiswal said in a conversation with Aaj Tak, when I sat on the chair as the Revenue Minister on the first day, I had said that the minister will not be corrupt. I have been handling the Revenue Department very well so far. The party has just given me the new responsibility of the state president. I thank the national and state leadership. I will work honestly for the organization. I will try to take the party forward. I will try to live up to the responsibility that the party has expressed trust in me. Our priority is that the organization should be strong. The workers should be given respect. We will work to form a full majority government of NDA in the 2025 elections.
