Big reshuffle in Apple before the launch of iPhone 16, CFO will leave the post, this is the company’s plan

Apple has announced on Monday night that it is going to hold its event on September 9. The iPhone 16 lineup will be launched in India and the global market on September 9 itself. Before this event, the company has made another big announcement and has said that there are going to be major changes in the company.

Apple said before the September 9 event that Chief Finance Officer (CFO) Luca Maestri will step down from his position and will be replaced by Indian-origin Kevan Parekh. Luca Maestri will leave his position early next year. However, he will remain in the company and lead the corporate service team.

According to Apple, Luca Maestri will also continue to oversee Information Systems and Technology, Information Security, and Real Estate and Development.

Luca Maestri started with Apple in 2013. Prior to this, he was the CFO at Xerox. A year after joining Apple, he replaced Peter Oppenheimer and took over the position of CFO.

Huge increase in revenue

The Verge quoted a CNBC report as saying that when he took over as CFO, Apple’s revenue was US$183 billion and last year it reached US$383 billion.

Apple also announced that it will start a program to resell its shares, which is a program to raise $90 billion, Maestri will also head this program. According to the report, iPhone and iPad sales have declined last year.

Who will replace Luca Maestri?

Luca Maestri will be replaced by Kevan Parekh, who is Apple’s vice president of financial planning and analysis. Parekh has been with Apple for the past 11 years. Prior to this, he has held senior leadership positions at Reuters and General Motors.

iPhone 16 series and these products will be launched

Apple will launch iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, iPhone 16 Pro Max in India and global market. Apart from this, Watch Series 10, Watch Ultra 3, Watch SE 3, AirPods Max 2 and AirPods 4 can also be launched. However, till now the company has not made any official announcement regarding all these products.
