Big relief to Azam Khan, Rampur MP-MLA court acquitted him in this case

Senior Samajwadi Party leader Mohammad Azam Khan, who is lodged in Sitapur jail in Uttar Pradesh, has got a big relief from the court. Rampur MP-MLA court has acquitted Azam Khan while giving its verdict in the election code of conduct violation case.

Azam was accused of going to the polling booth Raja Degree College in his vehicle to cast his vote in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, which was within 200 meters of the polling booth. The rule is that no one can come or go by vehicle within a radius of 200 meters.

In this regard, the then returning officer had registered a case, which was pending in the MP-MLA court of Rampur. Today (28 August), the court has given its verdict in this case and acquitted Azam Khan.

On this subject, Azam Khan’s lawyer Mohammad Mursaleen said that there were Lok Sabha elections in the year 2019. The then SDM PP Tiwari had lodged an FIR against Mohammad Azam Khan that he had come to the voting campus with his car to cast his vote. A chargesheet was filed in this and an NCR was registered. After the chargesheet, a trial was conducted in the honorable court, in which 5 witnesses appeared and the prosecution failed to prove the charges. In such a situation, the court acquitted Azam Khan, finding it to be a false case.

According to the lawyer- This was a case of 2019, this case was filed under 171 F IPC and 133 RP Act against Azam Khan. Today the court gave its verdict in this case and acquitted Azam sahab.
