Veteran leader and former MLA Khiladi Lal Bairwa has resigned from the primary membership of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Bairwa has sent his resignation to the BJP state president. He has said that he does not agree with the ideology of the BJP and has confirmed sending his resignation to the newly appointed state president of the BJP, Madan Rathore.

Bairwa was denied a ticket by the Congress in the 2023 assembly elections after which he contested as an independent from the Baseri assembly constituency. In March this year, he quit the Congress and joined the BJP in Jaipur. He joined the BJP along with other Congress leaders including former ministers Rajendra Yadav and Lal Chand Kataria, former Congress MLAs Richpal Mirdha and Vijaypal Mirdha.
