SSC GD Constable Recruitment 2024 Rules Changed: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has made a big change in the rules of SSC GD Constable Recruitment 2024. The commission will recruit a total of 46617 posts through this recruitment campaign (SSC GD Constable Recruitment 2024) as soon as possible. The Home Ministry of the Central Government has decided to complete the GD Constable Recruitment 2024 in the shortest possible time.
SSC GD Constable Recruitment 2024 rules changed
Actually, the SSC GD Constable Recruitment 2024 exam was held in February-March and the result was declared in July. According to the old rule, the candidates who qualified in the exam have to first give a physical test, after which a separate schedule is issued for document verification and medical test. During both these processes, the candidates have to wait a long time, but this time it will not happen.
The Home Ministry has decided to conduct Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Standard Test (PST), Document Verification (DV) and Medical Test (ME) simultaneously in this recruitment. So that this recruitment can be completed as soon as possible. This information has been given by issuing a notice on the official website of SSC ssc.gov.in.
What is written in the SSC notice?
The official notice issued by SSC reads, ‘F. No. HQ-C-3007/3/2024-C-3: Candidates may refer to the Notification of Constable (GD) in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF), SSF and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles Examination, 2024 published on the Commission’s website dated 24.11.2023. In order to reduce the duration of the recruitment cycle and expedite the recruitment process, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), Government of India has decided to conduct the Physical Standard Test (PST)/Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Document Verification (DV)/Detailed Medical Examination (DME)/Review Medical Examination (RME) of the above examination together at one go. All candidates who pass the PST/PET will be eligible for DV/DME/RME.’

More than 3 lakh 51 thousand will give physical test
A total of 351176 candidates have qualified for the physical test in this recruitment examination. 30806 candidates among men and 38328 candidates among women have qualified for the physical test. Physical test, medical test and document verification can be conducted in September-October 2024. Call letters will be issued by the nodal CAPF (ie CRPF) to the candidates selected for PST/PET to be conducted by CAPF in due course.
