President Joe Biden’s family members, including First Lady Jill Biden, son Hunter Biden, and granddaughter Naomi Biden, have expressed their support and love for the president following his announcement to withdraw from the 2024 presidential race.
In a re-tweet, First Lady Jill Biden shared a heart emoji in response to her husband’s letter detailing his decision to step down from the election. Naomi Biden, the daughter of Hunter Biden and Kathleen Buhle, voiced her admiration for President Biden’s service to the nation, describing him as “the most effective president of our lifetime” and a “most effective and impactful public servant in our nation’s history”.
Naomi Biden emphasized that her grandfather has had a material impact on every major issue the country and world have faced for the past 50 years, and that the world is better today thanks to him. She also expressed her pride in President Biden and urged Americans who have always had his back to “keep the faith” as he will always have theirs.

Hunter Biden, the president’s son, also rallied around his father after the announcement, along with other members of the Biden family.
President Biden’s decision to withdraw from the race came amid mounting pressure from within the Democratic Party and key donors urging him to step aside for the party’s future prospects[4]. The president mentioned in his statement that while it was his intention to seek reelection, he believes it is in the best interest of his party and the country for him to stand down and focus solely on fulfilling his duties as president for his term.
