Bibhav Kumar gets another setback, judicial custody extended till July 16 in Swati Maliwal assault case

Both Bibhav and Kejriwal are in jail for different cases. Bibhav also approached the Delhi High Court for bail, but has not got any relief so far.

Bibhav Kumar got another setback from the court

Bibhav Kumar has not got any relief from the court in the Swati Maliwal assault case. Tis Hazari Court extended Bibhav Kumar’s judicial custody till July 16. He was presented through video conferencing. Earlier, on the appeal of CBI against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, a Delhi court had sent him to judicial custody till July 12.

The arrest was challenged in Delhi High Court

Earlier, Bibhav Kumar had challenged his arrest in the Delhi High Court in connection with the alleged assault on AAP MP Swati Maliwal at the Chief Minister’s residence. So far, he has not received any good news from the court.

Swati Maliwal was allegedly assaulted

Kumar was arrested by the Delhi Police on May 18 in connection with the alleged assault on Maliwal at Kejriwal’s official residence on May 13. Bibhav Kumar is currently in judicial custody.
