Finance Minister Sitharaman presented the Union Budget for the seventh time in a row. The students of Banaras Hindu University in the religious city of Kashi in the country got a mixed response to the budget. However, most of the students are unhappy with the education sector not getting much importance.

‘Nothing special for students’

Expressing unhappiness over the budget, Vikas Mishra, a research student of the university, says that there is nothing special for students in the budget. However, some things have been good. The proposal to give loans to students was the best proposal. The second best thing was the proposal to train IIT boys in the country’s top 10 companies, which was also good. Apart from this, I congratulate them a lot on the proposal to give an allowance of five thousand rupees to unemployed students.

Research student Ramashish Mishra says that students had a lot of expectations from this budget, but they did not get anything in this budget as per their expectations. A student from the campus expressed happiness over the budget and said, “The budget is good, especially many provisions have been made for women. Women have been made partners in the development of the country.”

Internship opportunity for youth

Let us tell you that in the Union Budget, Nirmala Sitharaman has proposed amendment in the Model Skill Loan Scheme to help 25 thousand students every year in 2024-25.

Also, as per the announcement made by the Finance Minister in the budget for the youth of the country, an amount of Rs 2 lakh crore has been kept for five schemes related to employment and skill training. There is also a provision to provide internships to five crore youth in 500 top companies.

45,000 rupees will come in EPFO ​​account

Apart from this, for the youth joining the first job, three installments of 15 thousand rupees will be deposited directly in their EPFO ​​account. In the budget speech, the Finance Minister said that for those in the first job and having a salary of less than one lakh rupees, on registering for the first time in EPFO, assistance of 15 thousand rupees will be given in three installments.

At the same time, an amount of three lakh crore rupees has been proposed for schemes benefiting women and girls. Also, more than 100 branches of India Post Payment Bank will be established in the Northeast region.
