Bengal Protest: Police arrested Nabanna protest organiser Sayan Lahiri, train stopped during BJP’s Bengal bandh

The case of rape and molestation of a doctor of Kolkata’s RG Kar Hospital remains in the news. In protest against this incident, a large number of students are on the streets demanding the resignation of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. This protest has been named ‘Nabanna Abhiyan’. The students’ protest will continue on Wednesday as well. Meanwhile, today the Bharatiya Janata Party has called for a 12-hour Bengal bandh.

This bandh will be from 6 am to 6 pm on Wednesday. This bandh has been called in protest against the police action against the protesters during the Nabanna march. But Mamata Banerjee has said clearly that there will be no bandh on Wednesday. Action will be taken against government employees if they do not reach the office. At the same time, junior doctors’ strike is also a result of the Nabanna protest today. Stay here to stay updated on the developments happening throughout the day in Bengal.
