Rahul Gandhi, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJPRajasthan unit president of the Congress C P Joshi launched a veiled attack on Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi in Lok Sabha, saying beef eaters come to Parliament with a picture of Lord Mahadev. Joshi made this remark at a party meeting in Dausa on Wednesday. A video of his speech has surfaced on social media. Without naming anyone, Joshi said that there is tension on the border between India and China and Rahul Gandhi is sitting hand in hand with the Chinese ambassador… one who eats beef and comes to Parliament with a picture of Lord Mahadev… this cannot be tolerated.

CP Joshi said that if someone calls a Hindu a terrorist, violent person and we will sit silently? If someone opposes the Ram temple and we will sit silently? If someone mocks the colour of President Draupadi Murmu and we will sit silently? Then such people will keep succeeding in their dreams. On July 1, while speaking during the discussion on the motion of thanks on the President’s address in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi showed pictures of Lord Shiva, Guru Nanak and Jesus Christ and underlined the importance of fearlessness by referring to various religions.

Citing the virtues of Lord Shiva and the teachings of Guru Nanak, Jesus Christ, Buddha and Mahavira, Rahul Gandhi had said that all the religions and religious leaders of the country have said do not be afraid, do not scare others. Gandhi, the leader of the opposition in the Lok Sabha, had launched a scathing attack on the BJP and accused the ruling party leaders of dividing people on communal lines.
