Police have arrested a fake CMO in Bareilly, UP. He had cheated two lakhs in connivance with a quack doctor. In fact, in November 2023, plaintiff Rajendra Saxena’s son Mayank, who lives in Munshi Nagar of Izzat Nagar police station, died of illness. Earlier, Dr. Sompal, who runs a clinic nearby, was called for treatment. Sompal gave the injection and left, but the patient died shortly after that. After Mayank’s death, Sompal made a complete plan of cheating with a fake CMO (officer). He accused the family members of the deceased that they themselves killed the son by giving him the wrong injection. Because, they were fed up with his illness.
The fraudsters said that a complaint has been lodged and now police/health department officials will come and arrest the entire family. If you want to settle the matter, give 2 lakh, 20 thousand rupees. Hearing this, the family members got scared and immediately gave the money to the doctor. This fraud is never revealed, but due to greed, after a year again the fake CMO called the victim plaintiff Rajendra Saxena posing as a Circle Officer. He asked Rajendra to come to the police station. He also said that the accused doctor Sompal has been arrested, now you will also be arrested, the entire family will go to jail.
After which, when the victim’s family reached Bareilly and contacted the local police, they came to know that they have been cheated. Bareilly police is not aware of any such case. After the complaint, the police officers formed a team and arrested the fake CMO and revealed the entire incident. At the same time, the doctor is already in jail in another case.
The family had left Bareilly city
Rajendra Saxena, a resident of Izzat Nagar police station in Bareilly, lost his son in November 2023 due to a serious illness. Rajendra was completely devastated after his son’s illness, so he left Bareilly and shifted to Noida. After his son’s death, the doctor also cheated him, after which he became more upset. But after a year, when he got a call again that the case has been reopened and he will be sent to jail, he got scared.
After this, he reached Bareilly and first spoke to the Circle Officer Pankaj Srivastava and informed him about the whole matter. The Circle Officer informed the Senior Superintendent of Police about this matter, after which the police team started investigating. Within a few days, the accused was arrested and the whole incident was revealed. A case has been registered against four people in the case, two people are still absconding. The doctor and the fake CMO have been arrested.
CO office was written on Truecaller
Victim Rajendra said that when the fraudster called, CO office was written on Truecaller. So it seemed that the police had called. In the conversation, he told that the doctor has been sent to jail by the Bulandshahr police and now it is my turn. When he went to Bareilly and contacted, the police investigation revealed that the people who had cheated him a year ago had become active again.
The accused doctor is in jail
It is being told that when the police investigated, it was found that the accused doctor Sompal is lodged in the jail of Bulandshahr. Because, even before this he had committed fraud in another district. Due to which the Bulandshahr police had put him in jail.
Fake CMO’s wife absconding
The victim says that in this whole case, a person came posing as a fake CMO to cheat him and his wife was also with him. During police interrogation, it was found that he used to do the cheating work along with his wife, so that the family could be intimidated. In this entire incident, the SOG team of the police has arrested the accused fake CMO and a team has been formed to arrest the accused woman.
The person who sold the SIM card was also arrested
Investigation has revealed that the phone number from which the call was made to the party was a fake SIM. This SIM was registered in the name of someone else. It was sold by the shopkeeper to a fake CMO officer. Hence, the shopkeeper has also been arrested.
