The accused in the murder of a 24-year-old woman from Bihar inside a hostel in Koramangala, Bengaluru, was arrested from Madhya Pradesh on Saturday. The accused has been identified as Abhishek who brutally murdered Kriti Kumari on the night of July 23 and then fled to Madhya Pradesh.
The accused will be questioned in Bengaluru to find out the reason behind the murder. The 24-year-old woman, who worked in a private company, was a colleague of the attacker’s girlfriend. Police said the accused entered the PG hostel in VR Layout at 11.30 pm on Tuesday and slit Krithi’s throat with a knife in her room on the third floor. The woman died on the spot.
The incident took place at Bhargavi Staying Homes for Ladies in Venkatreddy Layout, just a kilometre away from the South East Deputy Commissioner of Police office and the Koramangala police station. The woman was a colleague of the attacker’s girlfriend.

The deceased girl was from Bihar
Initial investigation revealed that the killer was a known person. Police have also blamed the negligence of the PG hostel owner for the incident. Police said that the girl, originally from Bihar, has been identified as 24-year-old Kriti Kumari. She worked in a private company in Bengaluru.
CCTV also came in front
It is seen in the CCTV that Abhishek enters the PG hostel with a bag. When she opens the door for a while, he pulls her out by her hair and starts attacking her with a knife indiscriminately. During this, the victim resists the attack, but the killer keeps attacking her and finally slits the girl’s throat.
Hearing the loud noise, other girls present in the hostel rush to the spot but are unable to save her. The victim is seen asking for help for some time but no girl comes forward to help her.
The woman is also seen sitting on the floor soaked in blood and pleading for help. Police believe that the incident took place between 11:10 and 11:30 pm on Tuesday night in Koramangala VR Layout PG. The incident took place on the third floor of the PG, where Kriti lived in a room.
