Ballia Minor Girl Rape Case: Police arrested a youth who raped a minor girl in Ballia district of Uttar Pradesh. Also, a girl known to the victim has also been arrested in this case. It is alleged that she had taken the victim to the accused’s house.
Giving information about the incident on Thursday, Balia district’s Superintendent of Police (SP) Vikrant Veer told PTI that a youth raped a 16-year-old girl in an area of the city. This incident happened on August 25.
The Superintendent of Police said that the victim girl was taken to the house of 22-year-old accused Shubham Verma by a girl known to her, Kashish Soni. She did not know what was going to happen to her there. Meanwhile, Shubham forcibly caught the minor girl and raped her.
SP Vikrant Veer further said that after the incident, the girl reached her home and narrated her ordeal to her family. After this, the victim’s mother went to the police station on Wednesday and lodged a complaint in this matter and told the police that Shubham Verma had raped her daughter.
The police took the woman’s complaint seriously and immediately registered a case. They said that after this, the accused Shubham and his accomplice girl were arrested. They said that further investigation is going on in this case.
