Bajaj Freedom: Delivery of Freedom CNG bike starts with launch in Delhi, know when it will reach your city

The country’s leading two-wheeler manufacturer Bajaj Auto has today officially launched the world’s first CNG bike Bajaj Freedom for sale in the country’s capital Delhi. Equipped with attractive looks and sporty design, this dual-fuel technology-equipped bike has a starting price of Rs 95,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi). Along with the launch of this bike, the company has also started its official delivery.

Bajaj Auto first launched this bike in Pune. After that, it has been launched for sale in some other states in the west as well. The company says that Bajaj Freedom is getting a good response from the customers. The Delhi-NCR area is very good in terms of CNG density. It will be launched in different states phase wise.

Where is it available now and when will it reach your city:

After being launched in Delhi today, Bajaj Freedom is currently available for sale in Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka and Kerala. The company says that by mid-September this bike will be launched for sale in Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.

How is the Freedom CNG bike:

In terms of design, Bajaj has used a minimal but strong design language for the Freedom 125. It has a fully LED headlight and taillight as well as halogen indicators. It gets an instrument cluster with a monochrome LCD display that also supports Bluetooth connectivity.

Bajaj has provided a common flap on the fuel tank, which can be opened to refill both petrol and CNG. The CNG tank installed in Bajaj Freedom has received an official certificate from PESO (Petroleum and Explosive Safety Organization), which ensures government safety standards.

Where are the CNG cylinders:

This bike has the longest seat in the segment (785MM) which covers the fuel tank to a large extent in the front. The CNG tank has been placed under this seat. In this, green color represents CNG and orange color represents petrol. This bike has a robust trellis frame which makes the bike light as well as strong. The company says that this bike has passed 11 different tests of the industry which make it completely safe. This bike has been tested from the front, side, top and even by crushing it under a truck.

Power and performance:

The company has given a petrol engine of 125 cc capacity in Bajaj Freedom. This engine generates power of 9.5PS and torque of 9.7Nm. In this, the company has given a petrol fuel tank of 2 liters and a CNG tank of 2 kg capacity. The company claims that this bike gives a driving range of up to 330 km in a full tank (petrol + CNG). Talking about mileage, this bike gives a mileage of 102 km in 1 kg CNG and 67 km in one liter of petrol.

One switch will change the mode:

This bike can be driven in both petrol and CNG mode. For this, the company has provided a switch on the handlebar. In which there is a button to change the mode. That is, by pressing a button, you will be able to change from petrol to CNG mode. The CNG cylinder given in the bike weighs 16 kg, while after filling CNG, it becomes 18 kg. The total weight of Bajaj Freedom is 147 kg, which is about 16 kg more than CT125X.
