Bahubali Anant Singh released from Beur jail, said- I feel good after coming out

Bahubali leader and former MLA of Mokama Anant Singh has come out of Beur Jail in Patna. He came out of the jail at around 5 am on Friday. Talking to the media after coming out of the jail in an ambulance, he said that we got justice and it feels good to be out of jail.

On Wednesday itself, he got a big relief from the Patna High Court and he was acquitted in the AK-47 case due to lack of evidence. In this case, the Civil Court of Patna had sentenced him to 10 years of imprisonment under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act a few years ago.

As soon as the High Court’s decision came on Wednesday, there was a wave of happiness among the supporters of MLA Anant Singh. During this, one of his enthusiastic supporters even fed Rasgussa to his horse. The video of this is also viral on social media.

Earlier, during the Lok Sabha elections, he was granted parole in the month of May and he came out on parole for 15 days. During this time, he also campaigned for JDU’s Lallan Singh in his area and claimed that Lallan Singh would win by 4 lakh votes. Anant Singh has been an MLA from Mokama for four consecutive times but was disqualified after being convicted.

Anant Singh got this punishment in the 2019 case. In the year 2019, the police raided Anant Singh’s house. After this raid that lasted for hours, the police claimed that an AK-47 was recovered from Anant Singh’s house. Anant Singh was also absconding for several days in this famous case. Anant Singh surrendered in Delhi’s Tis Hazari Court after dodging the Bihar Police for three-four days. In the year 2022, the court convicted him. After this, he approached the High Court against the sentence and now in this case the High Court has acquitted him due to lack of evidence.

Anant Singh, who was once very close to Nitish Kumar, later distanced himself from the CM due to political reasons. Once he had honoured Nitish Kumar by weighing him with silver coins. Just before the 2015 assembly elections, Anant Singh had turned rebel. He contested as an independent from Mokama seat and defeated JDU spokesperson Neeraj Kumar while being in jail. At one time, Anant’s bitter comments were in the headlines. The relationship between Anant and Nitish has also been full of ups and downs.
