Bahraich ground report: MLA roaming around with rifles along with armed supporters to protect them from bloody wolves, VIDEO

For the last one and a half months, man-eating wolves have been creating terror in many villages of Bahraich in Uttar Pradesh. Here, a pack of wolves killed eight children and women, while injuring more than 30 people. Last night, a wolf was again seen in Rajapur Kala village. The villagers also made videos, but before the forest department team could catch the wolf, it ran away into the sugarcane field.

MLA Sureshvar Singh from Mehsi in Bahraich went out in search of the wolf with his licensed rifle and his supporters. His supporters also had modern weapons. He went out late at night with a weapon display to instill confidence in the people of his area’s villages and to prepare them to protect themselves from the wolf.

When Aaj Tak spoke to him exclusively, he said that this display of guns is to instill confidence in people and not to take the law in one’s hands and kill wild animals. The MLA said that he represents four lakh people and if there is a threat to the people, he himself is going out with a gun to assure people that they are safe. On the question of inciting people, he said that he is not inciting people to kill wild animals but is waiting for the forest department to catch these wolves, otherwise when the situation gets out of hand, people can do anything on their own.

Let us tell you that a few days ago when the MLA himself came out with his supporters on the streets of the village at night with weapons after the terror of wolves, this video became very viral. Not only the MLA, now people in the village are awake, apart from sticks and torches, the forest department is using firecrackers to drive these wolves away so that these wolves cannot enter the village at night.

Three man-eating wolves caught

According to the district forest department, three man-eating wolves have been caught so far and it is estimated that three more wolves are active. Drones and tranquilizers are being used to catch them. Officials say that when wolves are unable to hunt their natural prey, they prey on weaker victims like women and children. People are being appealed through e-rickshaws to stay indoors after dark.

Terror of man-eating wolves in Bahraich, wolf spotted in Rajpur Kalan village – VIDEO

In Aurahi village of Bahraich, which is situated on the Ghaghra riverbank, the forest department people started using firecrackers so that if wolves are hiding in the fields near the village and somewhere in the Ghaghra riverbank, they can be driven away from the village. These man-eating wolves are quite active in the northern part of the district, especially in the Terai areas like Chakia, Sujauli, Nishanagara, Mihinpurwa, Bichhiya and Baghauli forests. Even in the Katarniaghat area, the same situation prevails.

When did the terror of wolves start?

Wolves started by attacking two children in Aurahi village. Seven-year-old Firoz was attacked by a pack of wolves about one and a half months ago. He was sleeping with his mother when at around 12 o’clock at night a wolf entered the verandah of the house and ran away after grabbing his neck. During this time his mother kept trying to save the children by holding both their legs. The wolf dragged the child about 200 meters into the field. When his mother shouted, the villagers gathered and then the wolf left the child in the field near the village and ran away. The bleeding Firoz was then taken to the hospital by the family and the villagers, where his life was saved after 13 days of treatment. The marks of the wolf’s bites are still present on his face, neck, head, ears, back and chest and the child shivers at the very mention of the name of the wolf.

The wolf had dragged away the child who was sleeping with his mother

The first case that came in this Aurahi village was of a boy named Rahul. When he was 7 years old, in March this year, a wolf snatched him from his mother’s lap in the room and took him away. However, his uncle heard the sound of children crying and when he searched, he found that the wolf had taken the child towards the field. The wolf got trapped in a net placed behind the house and ran away leaving the child behind. The child was badly injured. When the family hears this entire story, they get goosebumps.
