Packs of wolves are creating terror in Mahsi tehsil of Bahraich. Now the forest department is using elephant dung and urine to drive these wolves away from the populated areas. So that the man-eating wolves cannot harm people.

There have been many cases of wolf attacks in Bahraich in the last 40 days. Five children have died due to wolf attacks in the Mahsi area. The forest department has caught three wolves
IFS officer Akashdeep Badhawan told the news agency that we used high-capacity drone cameras to identify the wolves. So far six wolves have been identified. Three of them have already been caught. Our goal is to protect the villagers by driving the wolves away from populated areas.

Wolves will run away by using elephant dung and urine
He said that the affected area of the district falls in the densely forested Terai region on the northern end. This area also shares the international border with Nepal. Therefore, a special method is being adopted to drive away these wolves. Under this, elephant dung and urine from the Katarniaghat forest will be used. To make the wolves aware of the presence of elephants, smoke will be produced by setting fire to the elephant dung. The smell produced by this will make them aware of the presence of elephants.

The officer said that wolves hunt in packs. In such a situation, they avoid big animals like elephants. Therefore, by creating an illusion for the wolves that elephants are present in this area, they can be driven away from here by using their dung and urine.
