Election on Bagda assembly seat news: By-election is being held for West Bengal’s Bagdah assembly seat on July 10, let us tell you that in the year 2021, BJP had won this seat of North 24 Parganas, but the winning candidate Biswajit Das had joined TMC party, let us tell you that he left TMC and joined BJP before the 2021 assembly elections, Bagdah seat has fallen vacant after the resignation of Biswajit Das, who won the election on BJP ticket.

Later, Biswajit Das was fielded by TMC in the Lok Sabha elections but he was defeated by BJP’s Shantanu Thakur in the Bongaon constituency. This time, TMC has fielded Madhuparna Thakur as its candidate while BJP has given the ticket to Binay Kumar Biswas.

This seat is reserved for scheduled caste

Bagdah is an Assembly constituency in North 24 Parganas district in the Indian state of West Bengal.It is reserved for Scheduled Castes.

Bagdah Assembly Constituency (SC) No. 14 is part of Bangaon (Lok Sabha constituency, it was earlier part of Barasat (Lok Sabha constituency).

100% webcasting in by-election

Section 144 will be applicable within 200 meters of the polling station, while 144 teams of Quick Response Team (QRT) will be deployed in four assembly constituencies. According to commission sources, this is the first time that 100 percent webcasting is being done in the by-election.

20 companies of Central Police Force will be deployed in Baghda

Four general observers and four police observers will also be deployed for this by-election. It is noteworthy that in the assembly by-election in Bengal, the Election Commission is keeping a special watch on the safe conduct of elections in two of the four assembly seats of the state, Bagda in North 24 Parganas and Ranaghat South in Nadia district. According to the information received from the commission, 16 companies of Central Police Force will be deployed in Raiganj, 19 in Ranaghat, 20 in Bagda and 15 in Maniktala.
