There are reports that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) wants to make a new player the captain of the Pakistani team, in which the name of Mohammad Rizwan is at the forefront. It is believed that Babar Azam can be removed from the captaincy and Rizwan can be given responsibility in white ball cricket. According to reports of Pakistani channel Geo News, white ball team head coach Gary Kirsten has spoken to PCB officials. He wants the team to have the same captain in all three formats in the form of Rizwan.

29-year-old Babar Azam’s performance has been very poor in the last several series. After which he is now out of the top-10 in the Test batting rankings. Babar did not open his account in the first innings during the first Test, while in the second innings he was out after scoring 22 runs.
During the second Test, Babar scored 31 runs in the first innings and only 11 runs in the second innings.
