Azam Khan gets big relief from MP-MLA court, acquitted in Dungarpur case

Azam Khan was arrested in Dungarpur Case: Samajwadi Party’s national general secretary Azam Khan has got a big relief from the MP-MLA court. The court has acquitted Azam Khan and others in the Dungarpur case. The Dungarpur case is of the year 2016, when there was a Samajwadi Party government in the state and Azam Khan was a cabinet minister. He had built Aasra housing for the poor near the police line in Dungarpur. He was accused that during this time the already built houses of some people were demolished by calling them illegal construction on government land.

After the BJP government was formed in the state, a case was registered in Ganj Kotwali in 2019. It was alleged in the case that during the Samajwadi Party government, at the behest of Azam Khan, the police and party workers forcibly vacated the houses to build Aasra housing in the colony. Their belongings were looted and the houses were demolished by running bulldozers.

All accused including Azam acquitted

Let us tell you that the prosecution could not prove the charge and due to lack of evidence, the Special MP/MLL Court acquitted Azam Khan and others. During the hearing in the court, SP leader Azam Khan joined through video conferencing. Prosecution lawyer Seema Rana said that the court’s decision came in the Dungarpur case. In this, all the accused have been acquitted. We have not received the copy of the decision yet, as soon as we get the copy of the decision, it will be studied and an appeal will be filed.
