In Gonda, Uttar Pradesh, a woman fell in love with her nephew who was 10 years younger than her, after which both of them committed suicide due to public opposition.
Regarding this incident, the police said that a woman and her nephew, upset by the opposition to their relationship, committed suicide by jumping in front of a moving train on Sunday.
According to a news agency report, Itiathok police station in-charge Durgvijay Singh said that the widow Pushpa Devi (32) lived with her two children at her in-laws’ house in Itiathok area. Police said that she was in a relationship with her nephew Ravindra Kumar, who was 22 years old.

However, the family members were against this and wanted to get her married somewhere else. Pushpa was upset with this and she did not want the young man to get married to someone else. However, during this time she was fed up with the taunts she was getting from the people around her.
The police station in-charge said that Pushpa and Ravindra committed suicide by jumping in front of a train near Kathuva railway crossing on Sunday afternoon. Police said that Pushpa’s family has an eight-year-old son and a three-year-old daughter.
