Police on Monday arrested four people for the murder of a 25-year-old man in Thane district of Maharashtra. The accused are also accused of giving false information to the police. They have been identified as Rajesh Yadav, Pramod Yadav, Gangaram Yadav and Prakash Mohite.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone V) Amarsingh Jadhav said that on September 1, Prathamesh Chavan was attacked in a room on the 23rd floor of a rented building of MMRDA. After this, one of these four accused called the police and gave false information.
The DCP said that there was an old enmity between the accused and the victim. The police had initially registered a case of accidental death at the Chitalsar police station. But the case was investigated on the basis of the post-mortem report, after which the police arrested all four accused.
Police said that in this case, a case has been registered under the Indian Penal Code against Rajesh Ramnaresh Yadav and Pramod Ramnaresh Yadav along with two chowkidars Gangaram Yadav and Prakash Mohite. Police is investigating the case by interrogating the four accused.
Let us tell you that in July, a man was beaten to death in Thane on suspicion of being a thief. The police recovered his body from the bushes. Revealing this murder, the police arrested four accused. The deceased was identified as Shovik Gaur Shrimani of Kolkata.
Inspector Anil Shinde of Mumbra Police Station had said that the victim’s body was found lying in the bushes in Thane’s Diva area on July 24. During the post-mortem of the body, it was found that he died due to severe beating. After this, an investigation was started in the case.
During the investigation, the police found that before the incident, the victim had come to a car washing service center in Mumbra. But four people already present there suspected him to be a thief. They started beating him. He kept begging them for mercy but they killed him.
