A new visualization has revealed that the bullet fired by Thomas Matthew Crooks was “perfectly” aimed at Donald Trump’s head during the assassination attempt at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. The slight tilt of Trump’s head, which saved his life, was the only factor that prevented the bullet from striking him directly.

Thomas Crooks, a 20-year-old man, opened fire at the rally on Saturday, injuring Trump and killing an innocent bystander, Corey Comperatore. The bullet grazed Trump’s ear, narrowly missing his head. The visualization shows that the bullet was aimed directly at Trump’s head, highlighting the precision with which Crooks had aimed his shot.

Despite extensive investigations by the FBI, including searching Crooks’ phone, computer, and home, no clear motive has been established for the attack. Crooks’ political affiliations were ambiguous, with financial records indicating a $15 contribution to a progressive political action committee on the day Joe Biden was inaugurated as President. He was described as a smart but standoffish individual who often wore hunting outfits and preferred to sit alone at lunch.

The day before the shooting, Crooks visited a sportsman’s club and practiced on the rifle range. On the day of the attack, he purchased 50 rounds of 5.56mm ammunition and drove to the rally site, parking about a third of a mile away. He walked around the area for at least an hour before climbing onto the roof of a nearby building and opening fire.

The Secret Service responded quickly, firing back at Crooks, who was fatally shot in the head within 26 seconds of his initial attack. The incident has sparked a wave of speculation and conspiracy theories across the political spectrum, with many seeking to understand the motivations behind Crooks’ actions.

The investigation into the shooting continues, with Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas drawing parallels to the prolonged inquiry into the Las Vegas mass shooting, highlighting the challenges of uncovering motives behind such violent acts.
