Asaram will go to Mumbai today for heart treatment, he was granted parole on the insistence of Ayurvedic treatment

Asaram, who is serving life sentence in Jodhpur Central Jail for sexually abusing a minor, will go to Mumbai for treatment on Tuesday afternoon, from where he will go to Madhav Bagh Hospital in Khapoli for treatment. Asaram will leave on a routine IndiGo flight from Jodhpur to Mumbai at 2.20 pm on Tuesday. He will be accompanied by 4 jawans and two sevadars including Jodhpur Police Sub Inspector Bhanwar Singh.

On August 13, the Jodhpur bench of the Rajasthan High Court granted Asaram a seven-day parole. In the order, the parole period will be counted from the time he reaches the hospital. Jodhpur police has also made security arrangements for taking him from the jail to the airport on Tuesday. DCP Alok Srivastava said that 4 policemen under Jodhpur police sub-inspector Bhanwar Singh will accompany Asaram.

Asaram, accused of sexual abuse and serving life sentence in Jodhpur Central Jail, has filed several petitions for parole, but for the first time on August 13, a division bench of Justice Pushpendra Singh Bhati and Justice Munnari Laxman granted him seven days parole for treatment on the basis of medical report of Jodhpur AIIMS. Asaram has always argued that he only wants to undergo Ayurvedic treatment. This is the reason why he has been granted seven days parole this time.

During this time, heart treatment will be done at Madhav Bagh Hospital in Khapoli, Maharashtra. The High Court has clarified in the emergency parole order that the parole time will be counted from the time of reaching Khapoli. The time of coming and going will not be included in the parole. The court has imposed many restrictions on Asaram in its order. It has been directed that he will have assistants with him who will be according to his convenience.

Apart from this, he will also be able to keep a doctor, but apart from this, no one will be able to meet him during treatment. Where Asaram will be treated in a private room, there will be police guard 24 hours a day. Media will not be allowed there. For parole, Asaram has personally given a bond of Rs. 50,000 and two people have given sureties of Rs. 25,000 each. Asaram will have to bear the entire cost of treatment and travel.
