A similar recent case has come from Karachi where a mall was looted on the day of its inauguration.

The incident is of Gulistan-e-Jauhar in Karachi where chaos broke out during the grand inauguration of the ‘Dream Bazaar’ mall on Friday. According to the report of ARvoy News, big offers were given to attract people on the day of the mall’s inauguration. The mall had released some promotional videos and ads on social media for its promotion.

There was a huge traffic jam in the city after the robbery

When the inauguration took place on Friday, a huge crowd of people broke in. The crowd became so uncontrollable that people entered the place with sticks. The situation worsened to such an extent that there was a huge traffic jam in Karachi’s Johar and Rabia City areas. In the pictures, hundreds of people are seen stranded outside the mall.

Videos of the looting in the mall are going viral on social media in which people are seen looting goods. Eyewitnesses said that the property of the mall has suffered a lot of damage. Some people alleged that there was no police present there.

During the vandalism, people made videos of themselves stealing clothes. Another eyewitness said that all this happened within half an hour. He opened the shop at 3 pm and by 3:30 pm the shop was cleaned out. The employees are also shocked by the vandalism in this Dream Bazaar opened by a person of Pakistani origin living abroad.

Expressing his anguish, a distressed employee said, “We brought it up for the benefit of the people of Karachi. But instead of a smooth opening, we were met with chaos. There is very little investment in Karachi and when it happens, this is the result.”
