According to the information, a student studying in class 10th in a school in the district was attacked with a knife by his classmate. Due to which the student got injured. The teachers and other staff came to know about the incident when there was a commotion. After which the student was hurriedly admitted to MB Hospital in Udaipur.
It is said that the dispute between the two students was going on for several days. There was also abuse between the two regarding this. However, the teachers were not aware of this. Meanwhile, on Friday morning, one student arrived with a knife in his bag and attacked the other. Due to which he was badly injured.
Teachers said that both the students were doing well in their studies. There is not much information about what the dispute was about between the two. Teachers are also not able to believe such an incident.
As soon as the news of the incident spread, there was chaos in the entire city. After which a large number of people came out on the streets by noon and started vandalizing vehicles. During this, the crowd also set fire to the vehicles parked there. Seeing the chaos increasing, police from many police stations were called and the situation was brought under control. In view of the chaos, the internet has been shut down from 10 pm on Friday night to 10 pm on Saturday night.
Udaipur District Collector Arvind Poswal has appealed to the people to maintain peace. He has said that the student injured in the stabbing is being treated. Police force has been deployed in every nook and corner of Udaipur. The priority of all the officers is to maintain law and order. The injured student is being treated by teams of doctors.
