The victim woman committed suicide

The woman’s husband says that ‘some women beat my wife in front of everyone in the Panchayat. After this, she ended her life by consuming some poisonous substance. I complained about this to the police. I told that I could not tolerate the insult my wife faced in the Panchayat.’ It is alleged that the woman was having an affair with someone else and she was missing for the last 10 days. The husband had lodged a complaint about his wife’s disappearance in the New Jalpaiguri Police Station.
