Angad’s father Bishan Singh Bedi was upset with his haircut, they did not talk for years, Amitabh came to help

Bollywood actor Angad Bedi’s relationship with his father and former cricketer Bishan Singh Bedi was bad for years. Angad, who comes from a Sikh family, had decided to cut his long hair before starting his acting career. His father was very angry with this. Bishan Singh Bedi was angry with his son’s decision and did not talk to Angad for 20 years. Now in his new interview, Angad Bedi has told how Amitabh Bachchan had made peace between him and his father Bishan.

Angad narrated the story

In the latest episode of Cyrus Sage, Angad Bedi revealed, ‘When the makers (of the film Pink) had called people to Delhi for a joint screening, he (Amitabh Bachchan) was sitting with my father. He told my father that your son is made for cinema. Don’t worry about the haircut.’ The actor told that his father never praised him. But after talking to Big B, he became emotional. Angad said, ‘My father came to me, hugged me and said ‘It’s not bad son’.’

Bishan did not talk to his son for 20 years

Angad also talked about his decision to cut his hair despite being from a Sikh family. He told that he was told that his long hair look would not work in films. Angad said, ‘I thought that if I have to go full-time in the industry, I will do whatever is needed. My father was angry with me for 20 years, until Pink released. After that film, he told me, ‘Son, now you have proved your haircut right in front of me’. And then he hugged me.

The actor further said, ‘I remember I was 18-19 years old when I cut my hair. I even did Pink when I was 33 years old. So she did not talk to me during that entire time. She was very sad and then there was a time when she hugged me and said that you have chosen your path and you will do well. So keep moving forward. But after this, choose your films carefully.’

Talking about Angad Bedi’s career, after the film ‘Pink’, he worked with Salman Khan in the film ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’. Then he was seen in the film ‘Dear Zindagi’ with Alia Bhatt and ‘Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl’ with Janhvi Kapoor. In 2023, the actor was seen in the films ‘Hi Nanna’, ‘Ghoomar’ and ‘Lust Stories 2’.
