Amrit Udyan: Visit Amrit Udyan in monsoon… It is opening for the general public from this day, know everything from tickets to time

Amrit Udyan i.e. the garden of the President’s house is going to open for the general public. Amrit Udyan is opened for the general public twice a year. Once you can admire the beauty here in winter between February to March and the second time it is opened for the public in monsoon.

Amrit Udyan will open from 16 August to 15 September 2024

President Draupadi Murmu will attend the inaugural ceremony of Amrit Udyan Summer Annual Event, 2024 on August 14, 2024. After this, Amrit Udyan will be open to the public from 16 August to 15 September 2024 from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.

One day each reserved for teachers and players

This time a day has been set aside for sportspersons as well. For the first time, Amrit Udyan will be reserved for sportspersons on the occasion of National Sports Day on 29 August. Also, like last year, it will be reserved for teachers on Teachers’ Day on 5 September. At the same time, Amrit Udyan will remain closed on all Mondays for maintenance.

Free entry, registration required

Entry for the general public will be through Gate No. 35 of Rashtrapati Bhavan near North Avenue Road. For the convenience of visitors, a free shuttle bus service will also be available from Central Secretariat Metro Station to Gate No. 35 (entry to the garden). Entry to the garden and slot booking is free, which can be done online on the Rashtrapati Bhavan website ( or through self-service kiosks placed outside Gate No. 35 for “walk-in visitors”.

Presidential residence Mashobra in Shimla and Presidential Nilayam in Hyderabad also opened

Visitors can visit the Rashtrapati Bhavan and the Rashtrapati Bhavan Museum, as well as watch the Change of Guard ceremony in New Delhi. Apart from this, during this time they can also visit the Presidential Residence Mashobra in Shimla and Rashtrapati Nilayam in Hyderabad, for which they have to book an online slot on (). Rashtrapati Niwas, Mashobra is a 173-year-old heritage building located in Mashobra, Himachal Pradesh. At the same time, Rashtrapati Nilayam in Hyderabad is known as the winter residence of the President of India.

Facility for teachers and players

Entry to the Rashtrapati Bhavan Museum will be free for school children during the inauguration of the Amrit Udyan Summer Annual Event, 2024. Sportspersons and teachers can also visit the museum without any fee on their special days i.e. August 29 and September 5, 2024.
