America did not mention what India said about Biden, Modi government gave this answer when questions arose

Former Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been in India since August 5. Questions are being raised repeatedly about Sheikh Hasina, who fled from Bangladesh, as to how long will she stay in India and which country will she take shelter in after India. The Indian government has answered all these questions.

When this question was raised in the weekly press conference, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said, ‘As we said earlier, the former Prime Minister of Bangladesh came to India on a very short notice due to security reasons. We have nothing more to say in this matter.’

Was Bangladesh an issue in the talks between PM Modi and President Biden or not?

After PM Modi’s visit to Ukraine, on August 26, US President Joe Biden called him in which the Russia-Ukraine war and Bangladesh were discussed.

After this conversation, both the countries issued a statement. In the statement issued by India, it was said that President Biden expressed concern over the situation in Bangladesh. But there was no mention of Bangladesh anywhere in the statement issued by America.

When the spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs was questioned about this, he said that the statement issued after the talks between the leaders of two countries is not like a joint statement where every word matches and every side agrees with each other. He said that such press releases do not contain every point of the conversation and it is not unusual for two sides to emphasize different aspects of the same conversation in their respective readouts.

The spokesperson said, ‘I am aware of the conversation between Prime Minister Modi and President Biden and I can tell you that our press release is an accurate and reliable record of what happened in the conversation. The two leaders discussed a lot about Bangladesh.’

Foreign Ministry points fingers at India over Bangladesh floods

The spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs also commented on the flood situation in Bangladesh and the reporting on it. He said, ‘We have seen the CNN report on the flood situation in Bangladesh. The narrative being created is extremely misleading and it is suggesting that India is somehow responsible for the floods. This is not factually correct and India has issued a statement clarifying the situation, despite this the facts were ignored.’

Talking about the report of American news channel CNN, he further said, ‘They (CNN) have also ignored the fact that both the countries regularly exchange data and important information through the existing mechanism for water resources management.’
