Ambedkar Nagar: Woman commits suicide after gang rape, father alleges police had removed rape charges

On Saturday, a woman committed suicide by hanging herself after being gang-raped in Ambedkar Nagar district of Uttar Pradesh. In this case, the police had registered a case against the three accused only under sections of abetment to suicide, however, later after the complaint of the father, sections of rape were added to the case, after which two of the three accused were arrested by the police.

The deceased’s father has alleged that the police tried to change the FIR and removed the section of gangrape from it, only a case of abetment to suicide was registered. However, after this the police added the sections of gangrape in the case and also arrested two of the three accused, who have been identified as Bhola Yadav and Sameer Khan.

When the police were taking both the accused in a car to present them in the court, both of them tried to run away. Both the accused jumped from the moving car, due to which both the accused got injured in their legs. However, the police caught both the accused and presented them in the court. However, one accused is still absconding and police teams are raiding to catch him.
